Established in 1990 in conjunction with MSI Founders (Gordon Doug Ewen and Kenneth G. Mummery a.k.a. Maritime Software International), Ken Mummery Consulting has been active in the computer software and hardware consulting business and maritime services since. Developer of Boatswain Yacht Management Software and Bosun Marine Services, both products were revolutionary for the time and as a whole were welcomed with open arms by the boating industry. However, the mood in Washington, D.C. was not so open to the boating, aircraft and luxury car industry. The Luxury Tax soon shut down two of these growing industries.

In 1995, KMC joined in partnership with Bill Hanley Consulting of San Diego for the purpose of supporting Bill Hanley Consulting in its issuing of Drug Free Workplace policies and training through out the United States. Licensed Training Materials and other licensed Drug Free Workplace documents became available through KMC. (See Drug Free Workplace for more details.) In 1996, KMC and Bill Hanley Consulting developed and began publishing two cost effective versions of Employee Handbooks. One such handbook was developed expressly for the livery or for hire, chauffeured limousine businesses. The second version is a general business handbook developed for sale to the general business population.

Each handbook is crafted to fit the business' employment philosophy. Making each as unique as the client's business. Built from their proven and legally acceptable model, KMC and BHC pride themselves on delivering the very best employee handbook for their client's money. Handbooks have become a ever increasing part of KMC's business as well as a necessity for every business with two or more employees.

KMC is owned and operated by Kenneth G. Mummery, President and CEO and is located in San Diego, California.

Ken Mummery is also president of MSI Founders and Maritime Software International. MSI is a marine software development company and was formed to provide marine management software for large vessel owners and captains.
